Emergency services attend home in Lenton after firework crashes through conservatory roof

Firefighters were called to a home in Lenton after a firework crashed through the roof of a conservatory.

A crew from Stapleford attended the incident at around 2.15pm on Monday, October 28, but found the fire was out by the time they arrived.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said there were signs and effects of a fire, but the occupant was not injured.

Stapleford Fire Station said the firework had hit the roof and broke through into the conservatory below.

It added in a statement: "Firefighters made the roof safe and then offered a safe and well check to the family.

"We fitted a smoke alarm in the property to make sure they are safe from fire in the future."
