The emergency services have retained a scene in Walton Hall Park following the death of a man.
Police Community Support Officers are among those overseeing a lake in the park after the man was pulled from the water this morning.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service has also constructed a tent at the scene as inquiries continue into the Boxing Day tragedy.

An air ambulance crew landed in the park and police patrols attended following reports a body had been discovered in the water of a lake at the park just before 9am.
The man was rescued from the water and given CPR, but was pronounced dead at the scene.
Merseyside Police has said an investigation is currently underway and CCTV and witness enquiries are being carried out in the surrounding area.

The force has a significant presence in and around the park, with Police Community Support Officers among those at the scene.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue has also established a tent on the lakeside as some of the examinations of the area continue in private.

A spokeswoman for Merseyside Police said: “We can confirm officers are today, Sunday, December 26, at Walton Hall park in Liverpool.
“Emergency services were contacted at just before 9am following reports that the body of a male had been discovered in the lake.
“The male was removed and CPR commenced but he was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.
“Enquiries are ongoing to identify the man and notify his next of kin.”
