Emergency services at Ferry Road following accident involving pedestrian and cyclist

Ambulance crews were this morning at the scene of an accident between a cyclist and a female pedestrian in Edinburgh.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the incident on Inverleith Avenue, just off Ferry Road, at 10.40am.

Traffic was moving slowly as medics dealt with the incident – with police also in attendance.

Cars are currently able to pass the ambulance but traffic is slow moving.

There are not understood to be any serious injuries.

Edinburgh Travel News are reporting that queues are building on Ferry Road in both directions.
