Emergency service called out to fire involving yellow e-scooter

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service attended an incident involving a fire and a yellow city electric scooter.

A crew from West Bridgford fire station were sent to the scene in Sturgeon Avenue, Clifton, at about 8:14pm on Saturday November 6.

A stop message was received at 8:27pm and Nottinghamshire Police have been informed, a fire service spokesperson said.

The year-long trial of yellow Wind e-scooters were recently extended for an extra year after being used for thousands of journey across the city.

There have been criticisms over safety, however, with some users raising concerns over the state of the vehicles.
