Dublin Airport emergency landing as passenger raced to hospital

A passenger was raced to hospital after a plane made an emergency landing at Dublin Airport.

The Delta Airlines flight was en route to Minneapolis from Amsterdam when a passenger fell ill yesterday.

An emergency was declared on board and the plane was turned around and flown to Dublin Airport at around 4 pm.

The passenger in question was transported to Beaumont Hospital immediately - with no current update on their condition.

The flight eventually returned on its journey to Minneapolis in the US after 6pm.

A Dublin Airport spokesperson said: "The aircraft landed at 16:09. The passenger in question was taken to Beaumont Hospital and the flight departed again at 18:14."

Dublin Live has contacted Delta Airlines for comment.
