Emergency crews seal off Dundee street after 'unexplained' death of man

Police are probing the ‘unexplained’ death of a man on a Dundee street.

Emergency services sealed off Benvie Gardens after reports that a 39-year-old had died at around 2.50am on Sunday.

Forensic teams were spotted combing the area for much of the day as police continue their investigations.

Officers are currently treating the death as unexplained.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 2.50am on Sunday, March 1, officers received a report a 39-year-old man who had died in Benvie Gardens, Dundee.

“Officers attended and the death is currently being treated as unexplained. Inquiries are ongoing.”
