Emergency crews race to scene of Fife road crash after pedestrian hit by car

Emergency crews have raced to the scene of a Fife street after a male was hit by a car.

He was struck around 3.30pm on Main Street in the village of Saline near Dunfermline.

The road has been closed off with the emergency services currently at the scene.

It is unclear at this time the age of the male involved or the severity of his injuries.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We were called to a crash involving a male pedestrian who was struck by a car on Main Street in Saline around 3.30pm on Friday,11 June.

"The road is currently closed and emergency services are at the scene."

The Scottish Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
