Emergency crews race to 'ongoing incident' in Scots town

Emergency services have rushed to the scene of an “ongoing incident” in Grangemouth.

Mercy crews were first called to Bo’ness Road in the town at around 4:30pm and remain in attendance.

Five ambulances, including specialist paramedics, two fire engines and a police car are at the scene.

The nature of the incident is unknown at this stage.

Pictures from the scene show scores of emergency vehicles parked up outside a house.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that they are assisting.

They added: “We were called to Bo’ness Road in Grangemouth and two crews remain there.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers are currently assisting our colleagues at the Scottish Ambulance Service and Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.”

The Scottish Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
