Emergency crews race to head-on smash between taxi and car in Glasgow

Ambulance and police crews raced to a head-on smash between a taxi and a car in Glasgow on Friday afternoon.

Emergency services were scrambled to Thornliebank Road in Glasgow at 3.20pm today.

Images from the incident show the bumpers and bonnets of the two vehicles completely caved in following the collision.

Segments from the motors are also pictured scattered across the road while police carry out inquiries.

The road has been closed following the crash.

It is currently unknown if there are any injuries.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to reports of a two-vehicle crash on Thornliebank Road, Glasgow, at 3.20pm on Friday, May 13, 2022.

“Emergency services attended and officers assisted with the road closure.”

The Scottish Ambulance Service has been approached for comment.
