Emergency crews stand down as Glasgow Royal Infirmary 'incident' comes to an end

Emergency services have stood down after responding to an 'incident' at Glasgow Royal Infirmary today.

Crews, including Police Scotland and Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, sped to the scene after the alarm was raised shortly after 3am to reports of concern for a person.

Officers and fire personnel remained at the hospital, located on Castle Street, until around 10am while the event continued to unfold, but have since dispersed, with the incident having 'concluded'.

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed the person involved is safe and well.
