Emerald Airlines launch service between Manchester Airport and Belfast, with flights starting from £36.99

Emerald Airlines are launching a new service from Manchester Airport to Belfast later this month with tickets now on sale.

The flights are set to start later this month with the airline operating the Aer Lingus Regional route and tickets start from £36.99 each way, as part of a return trip.

Customers will be able to earn Avios points on all Aer Lingus Regional flights and bookings can be made through both AerLingus.com and BA.com.

The new service will start on March 27 and will operate three times daily.

Emerald Airlines is taking over regional routes which were previously operated by Aer Lingus and British Airways, but customers will still be able to enjoy benefits thanks to the airlines’ codeshare agreement.

This new service will be welcome news for those who have family in Northern Ireland, as well as people who are looking to plan a city-break.

Karen Smart, Managing Director of Manchester Airport, said: “We are thrilled to see Emerald offering this service to Belfast City Airport.

“Connectivity between Manchester and Belfast is vital for the tourism industry in both cities, for those with friends and family members on the other side of the Irish Sea, and also unlocks our wider route network across four continents within one stop for travellers in Northern Ireland.”

In October last year Aer Lingus launched transatlantic flights going from Manchester to Barbados, Orlando, New York and the Caribbean.
