Emeli Sande announced as special guest for Westlife's hugely-anticipated show in Pairc Ui Chaoimh, Co Cork

Emeli Sande will join Westlife as a special guest at their first-ever show in Pairc Ui Chaoimh next summer.

On Monday the band announced they will hold a hugely-anticipated concert in Co Cork on Friday August 28, 2020.

The gig follows Westlife's massively successful Twenty Tour, which sold 600,000 tickets across 13 countries, including two sold out shows in Dublin.

And the band said they were "incredibly excited" for the historic show at the recently renovated stadium.

They said: "Headlining Páirc Uí Chaoimh for the first time ever is a dream come true for all of us.

"We’re incredibly excited for a show which will be different and more spectacular than anything we’ve ever done before."

And it was announced this morning that they will be joined by British singer Emeli Sande.

It will be Emeli's first performance in Ireland since she supported Michael Buble at Croke Park last summer.

Tickets for the gig are available from €59.50 and will go on sale this Friday, September 20 at 9am.
