As Thais across the country prepare to celebrate Songkran, representatives of 20 foreign embassies here have joined the Culture Ministry in sending happy new year messages to all by video clip.

The embassies of Malaysia, Colombia, Japan, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Canada, Australia, Peru, the United States, South Korea, Bhutan, Morocco, Ukraine, France, China, Cambodia, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden and Chile have all produced short videos blessing the country on the occasion of the traditional new year.

The clips have been combined into one presentation by the Culture Ministry. It was released by the ministry on Sunday.

Culture Minister Vira Rojpojchnarat said on Monday the messages would help promote relations between Thailand and those countries and understanding of Thai culture.
