'Embarrassing' - Bristol City and Championship fans fume at Sky Sports' Boxing Day coverage

With Christmas over for another year, the attention has now switched to Boxing Day and the annual feast of football that supporters are treated to.

Amazon Prime Video's venture into football rights left Sky Sports without Premier League action on Boxing Day, with the EFL instead being their focus on a packed day of Championship action.

However, instead of nailing their coverage, supporters were left infuriated by technical issues that plagued the coverage - including those that wanted to follow Bristol City.

Sky Sports made all the 3pm kick-offs available on Boxing Day via the Red Button but many complained that clicking on the match they wanted wouldn't show the right game.

Those trying to watch City's trip to face Charlton were instead directed to Luton Town's hosting of Fulham and, even when the right match was found, many complained about delays and streaming issues.

As a result, plenty took to social media to respond as it quickly became clear that the Christmas cheer had been taken from the passionate fans.
