The father of a DJ stabbed to death at a house party in north London said police have faced a “wall of silence” over the killing.

Elyon Poku, 20, also known as DJ Nana Banger, was fatally wounded at a house party attended by about 200 others in Stamford Hill on September 22 last year.

He died in hospital a few hours later.

As the anniversary of his death approaches his father Tony Poku, 58, said friends of his son had still not come forward to help police.

Mr Poku said: “His friends are saying they weren’t at the party. These are people Elyon walked, ate and joked with since a child. I was relying on one of them to come forward but none would.”

He added: “Elyon was our only child. Why kill him? What can he have done, if anything, for him to be stabbed? I need those answers.”

Nine arrests have been made and six people have been released under investigation.
