Elvis the horny Shawlands shake has been found - in his own home.
Concerned owner Ciorstaidh Alice McFarlane raised the alarm over three weeks ago, when the five foot long California king had gone missing from the Pollokshaws Road flat during mating season.
She feared he was slivering around the south side in lockdown in search of a mate, having recently shed his skin, 'looking all super shiny to go cruising'.

But Elvis remains a single snake, having today been spotted by Ciorstaidh hiding away in a box at home.
Ciorstaidh told Glasgow Live: "He turned up in the flat. He’s pretty much been playing hide and seek with me for weeks!
"He was in a storage box I’d been checking loads of times.
"So he’s home and isn’t all shook up by his ordeal. Never did find a lady snake though sadly."
However, love could soon be in the air for Elvis, after Ciorstaidh was offered a female snake, Priscilla, of course, for him to cosy up with in his vivarium.
At this stage though, he's going to have to keep his options open.
Ciorstaidh added: "He’s also been offered a girlfriend but sadly I can’t afford the vivarium and heat set up to rehome another snake at the moment.
"I would of course have named her Priscilla."
Elvis is going to have to live the single life for a little longer, but at least for his sake, as well as Ciorstaidh and her fellow southsiders, he's home safe and well.
