Elvis Presley's granddaughter Riley Keough lands role in Amazon's The Terminal List

Elvis Presley's granddaughter has been signed up to the cast of new Amazon series The Terminal List, it is claimed.

Riley Keough is the latest star to have signed up to to the action-thriller series which will also feature Constance Wu and Taylor Kitsch.

Keough will play Lauren Reece, an elite triathlete who is described as 'a warrior in her own right' and the wife of the show's protagonist Pratt, who is played by James Reece, MailOnline reports.

The show is based on the best-selling 2018 novel by Jack Carr and follows James returning home to his family after his Navy SEAL team was ambushed.

James has conflicting memories of the assault and learn that dark forces are putting him and his family in danger.

Wu plays a war correspondent named Katie Buranek, who finds an 'unlikely ally' in Reece - while Buranek is described as a 'risk-seeking' journalist.

The series is written by David DiGillio and he will also serve as its showrunner - while Pratt will acts as an executive producer with John Schumacher.

Riley last year opened up about the close relationship she had with former stepdad Michael Jackson.

The actress was born into a super famous family, with her mum Lisa Marie Presley is the only child of 'The King' Elvis Presley and her dad is singer-songwriter Danny Keough.

Following their divorce in 1994, Lisa Marie married King of Pop Michael.

Riley and her brother Benjamin, who tragically died in a suicide last year, were just youngsters when they got to know the legendary singer, who was married to their mum for two years.

Speaking about her famous family on The Late Late Show with James Corden in 2017, she said: "I didn’t know Elvis, but I did know Michael.

"He’d get me lots of toys and things I wanted."

She added: "One time he got me this really nice watch. We were at Disneyland. He bought me this really nice watch. It was a Beauty and the Beast watch — It was a really special one."

Riley also revealed she even once took one of Michael's pet chimps to school.
