Elvis Presley - Makeup artist predicted death six weeks before star suffered heart attack

Elvis Presley died on this day 42 years ago, August 16th 1977. The singer suffered a heart attack while on the toilet at his home at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee.

And just 6 weeks before his death, a makeup artist predicted that Elvis had 6 months to live based on his apperance.

The last recorded footage of Elvis was six weeks before his death, at Indianapolis airport. He was meeting Todd Slaughter, the owner of The Official Elvis Presley Fan Club UK.

Todd revealed to the Express.co.uk that there was a makeup artist there who thought Elvis had only 6 months left to live. As it happened, it was only 6 weeks.

Todd asked Elvis when he planned to play in the UK next.

Todd said: "But of course by that time you could tell that Elvis wasn't a well guy to say the least."

He added: "A lady producer from Danish telly was there and she said, 'Have a close look at him. Our makeup woman says his skin is rather pallor and he looks like he's got six months to live'".

Todd also addressed the conspiracy theories that claim Elvis is still alive.

"Of course he died. He certainly died," Todd said, dismissing the theories, "He wasn't living in a Buddhist temple anywhere. He died."

He added, in reference to Elvis' open casket, which many fans travelled to see: "And I think that's the reason they put his body on show almost.

"And then of course it turned out everybody said it was a waxwork, but you're going to get this nonsense."

Elvis was known for his love of banana, peanut butter and bacon sandwiches.
