An investigation has been launched after a Glasgow police officer applied for a £5,000 covid support grant for his second job impersonating Elvis.
Stuart Maclennan could be ordered to pay back the cash after Scottish Enterprise confirmed they are reviewing the award.
The 43-year-old applied for the money for his firm Subsafe Audio, despite rules making those with another full-time job or income ineligible, the Sunday Mail reports.
Maclennan is the only director of the firm, which he runs while working as a cop in the city. Subsafe Audio is also linked to his wedding firm Fresh Entertainments.
A spokeswoman for Scottish Enterprise told the Sunday Mail said: "We are re-examining the applicant's Scottish Wedding Industry Fund application. We are seeking additional evidence of eligibility in line with the stated contract given at the point of the award."
The application form for the £25million wedding industry support fund asks applicants if their business is their main income and if they have other full-time employment.
Scottish Enterprise confirmed anyone who did have another job or income should not have qualified.
Maclennan, from Renfrew, was rapped over a lockdown rules breach by performing as Elvis at a 21st birthday party in June 2020.
