Elvis director pays tribute to Lisa Marie Presley as Graceland burial plans revealed

Australian filmmaker Baz Luhrmann says he will miss Lisa Marie Presley’s “warmth, smile and love” after she passed away.

Lisa, the daughter of Elvis Presley, died aged 54 after she suffered a cardiac arrest at her home in California.

The director, who created the biopic about her dad said that he felt privileged to have worked with her before her untimely death.

Baz's tribute comes as it's reported the late star will be laid to rest at her father's Memphis mansion - next to her late son Benjamin Keough, who died at the age of 27 in 2020.

“Over the last year, the entire Elvis movie family and I have felt the privilege of Lisa Marie’s kind embrace," the Elvis director wrote on Instagram.

“Her sudden, shocking loss has devastated people all around the world.

“I know her fans everywhere join me in sharing prayers of love and support with her mother, Priscilla, and her wonderful daughters Riley, Finley and Harper.

“Lisa Marie, we will miss your warmth, your smile, your love.”

Lisa's mum broke the heartbreaking news with a statement which read: "It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us.

"She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known."

It followed an earlier statement where she asked fans to "keep her and our family in your prayers" after her daughter was rushed to hospital.

Tributes for Lisa have been flooding in, with John Travola saying that his "heart goes out" to Presley's family.

"Lisa baby girl, I'm so sorry," he wrote.

"I'll miss you but I know I'll see you again. My love and heart goes out to Riley, Priscilla, Harper and Finley."

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, who spent time with Presley during the making of the 2022 biopic Elvis, said their hearts "are broken" following news of her death.

In a lengthy Instagram post, Wilson said: "Tom and I had spent some time with the family during the Elvis movie promotional tour. Lisa Marie was so honest and direct, vulnerable, in a state of anticipation about the movie.
