Elvis ate same meal every single day for six months, according to Priscilla Presley

Elvis Presley once ate the same meal every single day for six months straight, according to ex-wife Priscilla as The King is branded a "creature of habit".

The rock star, who died in August 1977, reportedly had some strange rituals when it came to mealtime, often opting for more bizarre meals.

He was famous for his peanut butter and banana sandwiches, but now it's been revealed that Elvis had more strange dinner requests during his lifetime.

"If it was made in the South…he liked it," explains Graceland archivist Angie Marchese who spoke recently from Elvis' kitchen, the 'heart of the house'.

She explained that he "grew up on good ol’ Southern food" and loved meatloaf, mashed potato, fried chicken and mac and cheese.

"Anything but fish. He didn’t like the smell of fish being cooked in the house. There was never any fish in the house," she told Express.co.uk.

She told the outlet that Priscilla had previously revealed that The King enjoyed meatloaf and mashed potatoes so much that he ate it every day for dinner for six months.

"He definitely was a creature of habit, so if it was made in the South…he liked it," she explained. He would 'obsessively eat one kind of food over and over until he became bored of it'.

Elvis’ favourite snack was, of course, the famous peanut butter and banana sandwich with bacon. He once showed a Graceland maid how to cook it in bacon grease, just how he liked it.

The King also loved to munch on bacon and mustard sandwiches, fried peanut butter, hamburger steak and crowder peas. As for his favourite dessert, Angie revealed it to be Mom’s Chocolate Cake.

The mealtime revelations come after Elvis' ex-girlfriend slammed his movie biopic claiming it was 'untrue' and did him a "disservice".

Linda Thompson first met Elvis in 1972 when she was 22 years old and he was 37 having already had a troubled life for many years.

The couple – despite their different stages in life – fell deeply in love and embarked on what would become the last serious relationship of his life.

Now she has lashed out at the production in a new movie claiming it is factually incorrect and claiming "Baz Luhrmann never contacted me."

Linda also claims the film contains "many inaccurate and untrue elements," particularly surrounding the final years of his life.
