Elton John was filmed apparently angrily hurling his bag out of his private jet last week, following a rant at his security at a show.
He threw the bag down the steps of the plane, where it was caught by a fast-thinking member of staff.
So the hitmaker, 72, has now opted to hide in a tent while boarding his jet, new pictures show.
As Elton arrived at Sydney Airport to catch a flight, he remained obscured from view by the tent.
But he was snapped as he emerged from the tent, staying true to his famous rockstar style in a metallic blue and red striped tracksuit.
The singer may have been using the tent to shield himself from the smoke currently engulfing the airport as bushfires rage through New South Wales, Australia.
Elton recently ranted at the security guards at his show as they removed a woman from the venue.
He launched into an expletive rant on stage at Perth's HBF Park Stadium during his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.
Angry at the way she was being handled, Elton called the security guards "c***s" and "turds", telling them to "f*** off".
Elton can be heard shouting in footage, shared on micro-blogging site Twitter : “Hey, you two security guards with the girl, f*** off!
“Let her up here immediately… come on, you c***s. Morons, both of you, morons.
“You don’t treat girls like that. Leave her alone you turds.”
The audience seemed to support his sweary outburst as it was met with cheers and clapping.
Elton recently opened up about his multiple health scares to Graham Norton.
There are very few bits of me left", he revealed.
“There’s no hair, there’s a pacemaker. There’s no tonsils, no prostate, no appendix.
“I’ve had kidney stones. I’m like the Bionic Woman. I’m like Lindsay Wagner or Steve Austin.”
