Elton John at Glastonbury time, stage, possible set list and 'four special guests' promise

Glastonbury ends for another year tonight but it's going to bow out in style with a Pyramid Stage headline set from Elton John.

After a weekend of great music, including a very impressive set from Manic Street Preachers, a moving performance by Lewis Capaldi, and a huge Saturday night headline show from Guns n Roses that had fans asking questions, Elton John will end the festival on a high with a headline set at what is reportedly his last-ever UK show. This will be Elton's first-ever performance at Glastonbury and expectations are very high.

While the crowds will gather at Glastonbury to watch the music legend perform, you don't have to miss out if you don't have a ticket to the performance. Elton's set will be shown live on BBC One, so everyone can enjoy and sing along. You can keep up to date with the latest TV and showbiz news by signing up to the newsletter here.

He said: “I’ve got a different setlist to the tour, it’s going to be much different...it’s going to be wonderful. I’m really looking forward to it.”

Elton John has confirmed that he will be joined by four special guests on the Glastonbury stage, but has given no hints as to who they could be. There are rumours Welsh actor Taron Egerton could be one of the special guests after playing Elton in the 2019 film Rocketman and since striking up a friendship with the star.

Taron also posted a cryptic Instagram post about having a "quiet weekend", which you can read more about here. Other fans are convinced it could be pop icon Harry Styles, who recently performed at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff (you can read our review here) after Rick Astley performed a cover of As It Was at his Glastonbury set on Saturday, June 24.

After Lizzo performed a cover of Coldplay's Yellow at her Glastonbury set on Saturday, June 24, fans think Chris Martin might be joining Elton on stage. Paul McCartney has been spotted at Glastonbury enjoying the Foo Fighters and Guns 'n' Roses sets, leading some to think he might not just be a spectator.

Dua Lipa and Britney Spears are both in the running to be joining Elton after both artists collaborated with him recently. Britney has apparently been spotted at Bristol Airport this weekend and she has also taken to Instagram with a cryptic message of three British flags. After Guns 'n' Roses headlined on Saturday, June 25 some fans are expecting to see Axl Rose again, but this time joining Elton on stage. The two sang together for the Freddie Mercury tribute at Wembley in 1992.
