Elton John, Ariana Grande among top acts to play Warriors’ new Chase Center home

Starting in the 2019-20 NBA season, the Golden State Warriors will call San Francisco’s Chase Center home. But before the Warriors tip off their first game there — a preseason meeting with the Los Angeles Lakers on Oct. 5 (8 p.m. ET on TNT) — some of the biggest names in music will break in the arena.

According to Jim Harrington with The Mercury News, more than 24 musical acts are scheduled to perform already, with Metallica and the San Francisco Symphony kicking things off on Sept. 8. But if orchestrated metal isn’t to your liking, the Chase Center calendar seems to offer something for any musical taste.

By the time the new-look Warriors step onto the Chase Center court, in addition to Metallica, the arena already will have accommodated performances by Eric Church, Elton John, Chance the Rapper and Janet Jackson!

Here’s a rundown of some of the top acts (by genre):

Hip-hop

Sept. 14 | Chance the Rapper

Oct. 13 | Logic
