Elton John announces third and final Manchester Arena show on farewell UK tour

Elton John has announced a third and final Manchester show on his farewell tour.

The pop icon will perform at Manchester Arena on December 12.

It's part of his three-year long Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour. It kicked off in 2018 in the US and has since visited Europe, New Zealand and Australia.

One of his recent shows in Auckland, New Zealand was cut short due to loss of voice, having been diagnosed with walking pneumonia earlier that day but he is expected to return for his shows in Melbourne.

Fans can expect to hear the superstar singer's hits including I'm Still Standing, Rocket Man, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and Your Song.

He has sold more than 300 million records throughout his five-decade career and has penned the soundtrack for famous soundtracks including Disney classic The Lion King.

He explained his decision to step away from live performing saying: "In 2015 we sat down with a school schedule and I thought I don't want to miss too much of this. My life has changed, my priorities have changed and my priority now is my family."

His UK leg of the farewell tour also visits London, Liverpool, Leeds, Glasgow, Birmingham and Aberdeen.
