A man is fighting for his life after he was stabbed in a knifepoint robbery by thugs who stole his scooter.
The man was knifed near Mottingham station in Eltham, south east London on Tuesday evening and rushed to hospital.
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of GBH and taken to a south London police station.
A Police spokesman said: “Police were called shortly after 17:00hrs on Tuesday, 9 April to reports of an assault on Crossmead, SE9.
“Officers attended and found a man, believed to be aged in his late 20s, suffering from a stab injury.
“The man was taken by the London Ambulance Service to a south London hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
“At this early stage, officers believe that the man was stabbed during a robbery in which his moped was stolen.
“Two people have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
“They have been taken to a south London police station where they remain in custody.”
