Elon Musk’s odd obsession with Sydney Sweeney just got even stranger. This time, he’s sharing an AI video of her she never approved

Elon Musk shared an AI-generated video featuring actress Sydney Sweeney with his 230 million followers on X this week. There’s no sign that he got permission from Sweeney to use her image and voice to promote Grok, his AI tool.

According to Unilad, Musk used Sweeney’s face and voice to show off Grok’s new features on X, including its 10-second video format and better audio. The AI video shows a digital version of Sweeney talking to Bridgerton actor Regé-Jean Page inside a spaceship about Grok’s improvements.

The strangest part is that the prompt used to create the video didn’t mention Sweeney at all. This suggests that Grok itself picks her likeness on its own, possibly copying Musk’s focus on her. The video got over 48 million views and worked as free advertising for the tool.

This pattern of strange behavior toward Sweeney keeps getting worse

This isn’t the first time Musk has acted oddly toward Sweeney. Six weeks ago, he posted a meme suggesting her breasts must cause back pain. Many people found this comment inappropriate and weird. Sweeney has been open about questions regarding her body.

During a lie detector test with co-star Amanda Seyfried, she was asked about rumors concerning her chest. She confirmed her breasts are real and said, “No, I’ve never gotten any work done anywhere.” The examiner confirmed she was telling the truth.

She told an interviewer in 2023 that she thought about getting a reduction when she turned 18, but her mother talked her out of it. “I like them. They’re my best friends,” Sweeney said. This Grok promotion comes just two weeks after Musk had to remove a major AI feature.

Users were misusing it to create sexual images of women and children without consent. Reports have emerged about his AI creating inappropriate content involving people close to him. California Attorney General Rob Bonta called the “avalanche of reports” about this material “shocking.”

Musk has caused other controversies recently. He called Peter Navarro, President Trump’s senior counselor for trade and manufacturing, a “moron” after Navarro criticized Tesla’s use of foreign parts. He also made controversial comments about Nazi guilt before the anniversary of Auschwitz’s liberation, leading a Polish minister to call for a Tesla boycott. Some observers note that Musk has expressed regret about certain posts he’s made.
