Elon Musk's girlfriend Grimes has admitted she's "woefully ill-prepared" for her pregnancy in a candid Instagram post.
The singer, whose real name is Clare Boucher, opened up about her struggles as she enters her 25th week of pregnancy, saying that the journey so far has been an "ordeal" and she has been dealing with some complications.
Writing to her 1.1 million followers, she penned: "Fake or real? Haha. Wow I'm starting to feel bad haha... how do y'all cope with working and having a baby?? I'm sorry I haven't been promoting my album properly or on social media more."
She continued: "This whole thing has been a bit of an ordeal. Had some complications early on, a decent second trimester but starting to hurt everywhere at 25 wksz. What were yalls experience w this stuff like? I feel like I was woefully ill prepared cuz I dunno if pregnancy is as visible or discussed as it should be. I just didn't rly understand what I was getting into [sic]."
She went on to say that the pregnancy has been affecting her ability to work.
"It's been good too, but it makes working a lot harder. Good at writing and having lots of wild ideas tho, but anything physical is hard. Im also way more emo and less capable of bravery in the face of haters online and stuff haha."
She added: "But my albums out in a sec so I prob need to get back on here. Don't mind my emo energy, but curious what other ppls experience was like. I didn't even google it, I was just like sure y not hahaha smh [sic]."
And after sharing the honest caption, accompanied with a selfie, Grimes has received an outpour of support from fellow celebs.
Katy Perry wrote: "I’m sure making a human is the hardest job ever so be kind to yourself, you’re doing double duty," with a heart emoji.
While singer Chantal Claret penned: "Massage, osteopath, yoga and hydrotherapy was a game changer for me in the third trimester.
"I started being really guilty I had zero energy to work and then realized my energy was going towards creating human life and cut myself slack for having zero energy to work. I wrote an article about it for the @nytparenting."
Grimes has been dating Elon, 48, - who is worth approximately £20 billion - since May 2018.
Elon already has five children with his ex wife Justine Wilson, who he divorced in 2008 - a set of twins and then a set of triplets.
He was married twice to Brit actress Talulah Riley, and they divorced for a second time in 2012.
