Elon Musk's ex Grimes has sparked speculation she has had 'elf ear surgery' after revealing on Twitter that she 'did something crazy'.
The 34-year-old, born Claire Elise Boucher, shared a snap of her well-bandaged face on the social media platform on Sunday [September 18] as she laid with her eyes closed wearing what appeared to be a blue hospital gown.
After captioning the image "I did smthn crazy!" fans began speculating the nature of the work she'd had done.
In a later tweet, meanwhile, the star set tongues wagging further by referring to her time in a 'plastic surgery clinic' on the same day.
Grimes added: "Album is done we're mixing. My friend and I perfected the last song in the plastic surgery clinic cuz they wouldn't let me leave and we were laughing that this was the most Hollywood moment of all time. I have 20 songs so maybe BOOK 1 and BOOK 2? Deciding format/ tracklist."
Excited fans were quick to respond with one simply asking: "Elf ears?"
Another wrote: "OMG it's happening!"
A third commented: "Grimes had face surgery got elf ears done? I wanna see the result so bad."
And a fourth added: "Looks like Grimes got those elf ears she always wanted."
Last month Grimes hinted she was considering having work done by asking fans for recommendations of a doctor.
She said: "2 years ago I made an appt with a great plastic surgeon, thought I might want to change things up by my mid 30s, but then I forgot and never thought about what I should do.
"Any face mods y’all think would look good on me? (Elf ears isn’t an option, that’s a separate quest)."
In a separate tweet she also declared her interest in getting 'vampire teeth caps' which sparked ex Elon to respond by discouraging her against such modifications.
"The downside of elf ear surgery probably outweighs the upside," he told her.
