- Elon Musk has appeared at a farewell press conference marking the end of his time as a special government employee heading up the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
- During the conference, the Tesla CEO dodged a question about a New York Times report that claimed he was “intensely” using drugs while he was boosting Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.
- The report claimed he was using ketamine, ecstasy, psychedelic mushrooms and Adderall. Mr Musk criticised the paper, accusing it of previous “false reporting”.
- The billionaire has previously publicly admitted to using a “small amount” of ketamine.
- Mr Musk appeared at the conference with a black eye, which he claimed he got from “horsing around” with his five-year-old son.
