Elon Musk claims SpaceX will take Dogecoin for Moon...but is it one big meme?

Elon Musk says his rocket company SpaceX will now accept the meme-inspired cryptocurrency Dogecoin as payment.

In a tweet, he claimed that the commercial space exploration firm will launch the “DOGE-1 Mission to the Moon” early next year.

The volatility of Dogecoin was perfectly illustrated as it first plunged when the technology billionaire said during a Saturday Night Live appearance that the joke crypto was a “hustle”.

The 23-ton core stage of a Long March 5B booster from an out-of-control Chinese rocket has finally plunged back to Earth and into the Indian Ocean near the Maldives, China’s Space Engineering Office confirmed.
