Day 1 of India's biggest fashion extravaganza, Bombay Times Fashion Week 2022 is proving to be one star-studded show with the right amount of style and Bollywood glam. After actress Sonakshi Sinha opened the fashion week with her brand SOEZI, the second show of the day, presented by Soniya G and Ridhi Jain showcased exquisite gowns.
Designer Soniya G showcased Phool Khaak, a collection inspired by nature. According to the designer, there’s one truth of the nature, that everything that comes alive must also have an end and this cycle of birth and passing happens repeatedly. “Phool Khaak” represented the beauty of this cycle of life, how a flower comes to life, flourishes & passes away.
Soniya beautifully showcased colours ranging from highly saturated to toned down grays. 'Sacred Games' fame actress Elnaaz Norouzi stunend as a showstopper for the talented designer.
Designer Riddhi Jain brought to the ramp 'Leila' a beautiful word used to describe feminism. Her show was based on a shy young girl who dances through the fields with wind in her hair. "The aura around her will make you feel full of life, good vibes & positivity," read the collection note.
The collection was inspired by flora, keeping in mind the young generation. Every piece was designed to look subtle, sexy and statement worthy with various colours from bright to classics. South Indian actress Shriya Saran stopped the show for Jain, looking regal in an ivory outfit.
