Elliot Daly becomes latest Saracens star to commit future to club despite Premiership relegation

England wing Elliot Daly says it was an "easy decision” to sign a new contract with Saracens.

Daly joined the club last year, penning a three-year deal, but has now agreed fresh terms following their relegation to the Championship due to salary cap breaches.

The 27-year-old has signed a new contract that will run until the summer of 2023 after electing to stay with Saracens even after they dropped out of the Premiership.

“I haven’t been here that long but I really feel part of the Saracens family so it was an easy decision,” said Daly.

“I’m looking forward to the next three years and hopefully we can do some special things.”

With Daly’s contract now secured, Saracens are pressing ahead with resolving the situation around the futures of Maro Itoje and Owen Farrell - with both players expected to remain with the club in the Championship next season.
