Gogglebox star Ellie Warner is currently going through a tough ordeal after her boyfriend, Nat Eddleston was involved in an alleged hit and run accident in Leeds on Friday.
It has been reported that Nat has suffered a broken neck and a punctured lung following the accident, with all of Ellie’s family fearing for his health as he battles to survive his injuries.
Nat was reportedly knocked down by a white car shortly after midnight after meeting friends for drinks at a pub in the Halton area of the city.
Nat and Gogglebox star girlfriend Ellie have been together just over two years and last year the couple starting renovating their 1930s semi-detached home in Leeds.
Ellie made a new Instagram account to share their updates with fans, which has grown in popularity over the past year – garnering more than 60,000 followers.
Taking to the account to give fans a tour of the couple's love nest last August, hairdresser Ellie said: "Things are starting to take shape now and hopefully I’m gonna have a fully functioning living room after tomorrow night - can’t wait to share it in all it’s glory.
"The radiators, the paper, the blue I’m just living for it all everyone thought I was mad when I said I was getting bright orange radiators but how effing cool are they?!?!"
In another video she shared, she said: "Been super busy with work/life and have been neglecting the socials! Just threw together this cheeky reel as a progress preview of the living room while I’ve got some time to kill.
"When I’d finished painting before the wallpaper went up Nat thought it looked like a pub because I painted the cornice, dado rail , architrave, window sill and skirting board all the same colour and he wasn’t convinced but I told him he’s got to trust the process and the vision and it will all come together in the end"
The couple's lavish love nest has a huge garden, massive dining area and stunning exposed brickwork.
Recently renovating an old fireplace in what looked like a dining room, the couple have been hard at work to make their house a home.
She even chatted about the renovations in a previous Gogglebox episode, where the stunning star was trying to get rid of a fireplace she got for free on Facebook Market Place.
Taking to Instagram to chat about it she wrote: "I’m so excited that I’ve more or less kitted the living room out already as that’s gonna be the first room on the list.
"Nat has banned me from looking on Facebook market place, but can’t wait to get in and start making this house our home."
With more than 60,000 followers already, it seems that the couple's DIY antics are popular among their fans.
The account is called @throughmykeyhole – which references the popular TV show hosted by Keith Lemon.
On the account which is ever-expanding with followers, the bio reads: "Doing up our 1930s semi in Leeds. Lovers of colour & second hand finds. Hairdresser, plumber and dog mum&dad."
They started renovating their home one year ago in the spring of 2021, with posting halting in August 2021.
Speaking of expanding her and Nat's home in the past, Ellie said: "The dorma room is the master bedroom with en suite
"Hopefully one day when we’ve saved enough pennies we can extend out the back, bifold doors, velux windows you know the drill!
"That’s gonna be a lonnnng way off yet and we’re lucky there’s plenty of space downstairs!"
This comes as Ellie's beau Nat remains in hospital.
A source told The Sun: "Nat is Ellie's absolute world. She has been totally overwhelmed with messages of love and support.
"She has barely left the hospital since this happened and Nat is getting brilliant care and treatment.
"At the moment they are living hour by hour and just praying that things get better."
Another source said Nat is on a life support machine and the family are "obviously very worried for him".
