Ellie Goulding has some very unexpected plans for a Gerggs vegan sausage roll – and it involves both Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom.
The 33-year-old pop singer is a close friend of 35-year-old Katy and 43-year-old Orlando – with the A List stars joining Ellie at her wedding to 28-year-old art dealer Caspar Joplin last year.
Katy is now said to be days away from welcoming her first ever child with Lord of the Rings actor husband-to-be Orlando.
And turning her thoughts on what to award Katy and Orlando as a congratulations to their first baby together, Ellie says she’s considering gifting the couple’s newborn something a little different to commemorate the birth.
Ellie told The Sun: “I’m trying to think of something quintessentially British . . . a Greggs vegan sausage roll or something like that.
"They’re actually really good. And sausage rolls are really English.”
Ellie had been Vegan since 2018 – but revealed earlier this year she is not living a vegan life any more.
She told Jessie Ware’s Table Manners podcast: “I’m all about dairy….I'm not mad about coconut yoghurt and all those dairy-free alternatives.
“In the morning, I'll have a messy bowl which is yoghurt with lots of goji berries and nuts and I love prunes and dates.”
Meanwhile, Katy and Orlando are soon to welcome their first child together.
Katy has been updating fans with her pregnancy progress – and appears eager for the process to be over.
She tweeted to fans on Friday: “petition: to have all movies/tv shows etc update the fact that it’s 10+ months instead of 9 months pregnant.“
The singer has been engaged to British actor Orlando since February 2019 – although their wedding day has been postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
