Ellie Goulding rules out being stay-at-home mum as she doesn't want to disappear

Pregnant Ellie Goulding reportedly doesn't want to be a stay-at-home mum.

It's claimed the pop star, who has an estimated net worth of £16 million, has no plans of "slipping quietly away into the countryside" to become a full-time mum.

Before her pregnancy announcement, the hitmaker hadn't been pictured in public since August last year.

Instead of disappearing without a trace, the pregnant songstress apparently has "big plans" after the birth of her first child with her husband Caspar Jopling.

But first it's said the Starry Eyed singer, 34, remains focused on her baby safely arriving for the moment.

An insider told The Sun : "Her focus has always been on just keeping her head down and looking after herself until the baby arrives safely, but then there are big plans.

"She isn’t intending to slip quietly away into the countryside and become a full-time mum."

Further claims emerged the pop star plans to work on creating a brand and a big business, not just new music.

The insider added: "She's done all she can as a pop star — her ambitions now are massive but a lot broader, it's as much about creating a brand and a big business as it is about having a few more hits."

The Mirror has approached Ellie's reps for further comment.

It comes after Ellie dropped the bombshell she was pregnant with her first child.

Speaking about her pregnancy for the first time, the singer admitted her husband loves that she has curves she's "never had before".

"That was not the plan. The thought of getting pregnant didn’t seem like it could be a reality," she told Vogue magazine.

"Becoming pregnant kind of made me feel human. I want a better word than womanly, [but]—I have curves I’ve never had before. I’m enjoying it. My husband’s enjoying it."

Ellie and Caspar have been married since they tied the knot in August 2019.

It's the stuff of fairytales after the couple got engaged in 2018.

Sickness and tiredness hit the pop star "like nothing I'd ever experienced before".

The songstress had been hard at work on her new healthy eating book Fitter Calmer Stronger.

Ironically, all she wanted to eat was McDonald's leaving her feeling "terrified" for craving "all of the bad things" during the early stages of pregnancy.

She added: "I was in such a good streak of fitness. I actually went from being smug about how healthy my salads were and my breakfasts and eating nuts and seeds, and then all I wanted was McDonald's.

"And I was kind of terrified, I suddenly wanted all of the bad things!"
