Ellie Goulding recalls 'chaotic' 20s as she gushes over 'peaceful and happy' marriage

Ellie Goulding is a globally renowned musician, who carved out an almighty career at a young age - but she wasn't as happy as she seemed as she rocketed to fame.

Ellie, who's soon to take part in GLAMOUR's virtual festival Lockdown Live, told that she doesn't miss the "jealous, chaotic, frenzied" years of her 20s.

Instead she relishes the tranquility and steadiness of her marriage to Caspar Jopling, whom she tied the knot with last year at a star-studded ceremony.

Chatting to GLAMOUR, the now 33 year old recalled: "I didn't know who I was.

"I went straight from university to being on tour, so I had no chance to settle into a routine and understand my habits and my personality."

During her 20s, Ellie's romantic portfolio included McFly's Dougie Poynter, Greg James, Jeremy Irvine and reportedly Prince Harry.

Now she's married to Caspar, who she's isolating with in their south London home.

Ellie laughed: "It's probably not ideal straight after you get married to suddenly be completely forced together.

"But it;s been actual evidence that we can just co-exist really peacefully and really happily."

Ellie recently surprised a couple of fans during an online wedding, after their original plans to say I do were scuppered by the virus.

Turning up on a video call, she performed an acoustic rendition of I Need Your Love.

Meanwhile, she's also teamed up with homeless charity Crisis to fix up 400 rough sleepers with mobile phones with £20 worth of credit.

"We're all worried about coronavirus," she said at the time, "But people who are homeless are particularly exposed to and threatened by the pandemic."
