The Ellen DeGeneres Show has turned off the comments on its latest Twitter post after it emerged that it's under internal investigation by WarnerMedia.
The 62-year-old television personality, who fronts The Ellen DeGeneres Show, took to social media on Monday evening to promote a trivia app from Warner Bros.
In the post, the comedian shared an image of a Looney Tunes advertisement alongside a link to the app.
"For anyone who feels like acting a little looney today," she wrote before later adding, " #ThanksSponsor."
The post's comment section had been restricted to only show messages from people Ellen follows or mentioned in the Tweet.
A representative for Ellen has been contacted for comment.
Although the comments had been turned off, several followers have retweeted the posts and called her out over the recent reports.
Ellen's latest post came after it was revealed that current and former employees of The Ellen DeGeneres Show would be interviewed about their experiences on set.
This followed after an article was reported by BuzzFeed in July that alleged there was a "toxic work culture " on set.
According to the report, former and current employees claimed that they "faced racism, fear and intimidation" while working for the show.
Following the explosive story, the show's executive producers Andy Lassner and Mary Connelly released a statement saying they were "truly heartbroken and sorry to learn that even one person in our production family has had a negative experience".
On Monday, Variety revealed that a memo was sent internally that informed staff that they would be interviewed by WarnerMedia about their experiences.
It's actually not the first time that Ellen has come under fire for her behaviour in the workplace.
In March, comedian Kevin Porter received thousands of comments after he called the presenter “one of the meanest people alive”.
Porter's Twitter thread went viral and he received a number of responses from former staff who corroborated his accusation.
In spite of the latest social media storm, Ellen is famed for telling viewers to "be kind" at the end of her show.
