Ellen DeGeneres has snubbed show favourite Sophia Grace Brownlee's birthday as the former protégé celebrated turning 17 yesterday.
Sophia Grace found fame after she and cousin Rosie McClelland uploaded a YouTube video of themselves singing Nicki Minaj's Superbass in 2011 - which let to the talk show host have them appear on The Ellen Show numerous times.
The pair went on to have their own memorable moments on the show - from interviewing celebrities on red carpets to performing with A-list musicians thanks to Ellen.
Eventually, the pair melted the hearts of millions, prompting Ellen to give the girls their own recurring segment, dubbed Tea Time With Sophia Grace & Rosie.

But it seems as that close bond with the comedian has come to an end after Ellen failed to acknowledge Sophia Grace's special day.
But Sophia Grace managed to reel in her 17th in high spirits nonetheless, as she shared a snap from her celebration in quarantine.
Holding up a chocolate birthday cake lit with candles atop, Sophia wrote "17," alongside a balloon emoji.

The teen looked dolled up despite being holed up at her Essex home.
And Rosie took to Instagram to wish her bestie a very happy birthday, sharing a sweet throwback snap of the pair donning blue princess dresses.
She wrote: "Happy Birthday to my amazing cousin @therealsophiagrace I can’t believe you are 17!!! Love you so much," alongside a heart emoji.

It comes as Ellen's TV crew have been seething over reduced pay and poor communication, according to new reports.
It's claimed employees were upset they received no written communication setting out their working hours or pay.
Further complaints were said to include no inquiries about employee's mental health from producers for more than a month, sources told Variety.

Prior to coronavirus, the core workers was made up of a team of more than 30 people to ensure the smooth production of the show.
Since the lockdown, Ellen has been broadcasting her show from her own mansion remotely in California who remain under the guidelines Safer At Home.
