Ellen DeGeneres donates tickets for Torrey Smith’s charity basketball game

When it comes to charitable contributions, Ellen DeGeneres is never shy to help out.

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Torrey Smith reached out to DeGeneres with hopes that she would make an appearance or donate tickets towards his charity basketball game. In his Twitter post, he also asked Oprah Winfrey, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Barack Obama and Michelle Obama — but DeGeneres was the only one to respond.

The game will be held on March 30th, in Baltimore, MD. Smith will have current and former teammates in the event along with local celebrities. This will be his eighth annual charity basketball game and it will feature entertainment and prizes.

This game is one part of the Torrey Smith Family Fund, where he helps out the community and uses his platform to improve he lives of others.
