Elle Brooke hits out at AJ Bunker for bringing her looks into fight trash talk

Elle Brooke has criticised rival AJ Bunker after the former Love Island contestant ridiculed her arms on social media.

Brooke will step in the ring for the first time against late replacement star Bunker tonight, after original rival Astrid Wett opted to withdraw from the event amid fears for her safety. The pair have already traded verbal barbs on social media after Brooke's new rival agreed to step in and take the fight at short notice.

Bunker and Brooke came face-to-face at this week's press conference and weigh-in with tensions spilling over when they stepped on the scales. Brooke threatened to "kill" her rival which saw Bunker lose her temper and shove her opponent before the pair were separated by security.

And now the pair have continued their feud online with Bunker hitting out at Brooke on her Instagram story, with the caption: "B**** I am more than ready. I can't wait to slap that over-confident smile off your smug face! You and your dinosaur arms aren't ready for this!"

Brooke quickly hit back on her own story, writing: "Wants to inspire and empower women yet comments on appearance. It's actually laughable how much of a joke you are, going to enjoy knocking you out."

Bunker then defended her post, concluding in a new story: "Commenting on appearance I am speaking facts. Your arms are shorter than mine. Also coming from the 'nasty b****' that wants to call me an old hag? You're the biggest joke, can't wait to make you look like an idiot in the ring."

The Love Island star was initially preparing to take on Carla Howe in the Celeb MMA event which was postponed due to injuries hitting the fight card. However after accusing Brooke of being "scared" to accept a boxing fight, the pair agreed to settle their recent feud by lacing up their gloves.

Victory over Brooke could see Bunker attempt to launch a longer-term career in the sport having found a new passion after her stint on reality TV. Brooke's recent comments about empowering women come just days after Bunker revealed her plan to set up an inclusive boxing academy.

"I've fallen in love with combat sports and let's be honest, I don't look like the type of girl to be doing this sport," she told Mirror Fighting . "Everyone is like 'what's a Love Island girl' doing this for. I want to inspire and influence those kind of girls, the LGBT community and anyone that needs to learn self confidence.

"One day I really want to set up my own boxing academy that welcomes all types of people. The people who wouldn't walk into a normal boxing academy right now because it's male-dominated and quite scary. I want to have a centre that people can come in that's inclusive with no limitations where people can learn to box."
