Sept. 28--Nothing is more delicious than a bargain, and chef Iliana Regan is offering four windows of opportunity in 2016 to enjoy a meal at Elizabeth Restaurant and leave with a little extra cash in your wallet. But you've got to act fast and purchase dinner tickets today, Sept. 28, or tomorrow, Sept. 29, by midnight.
The offer was sent to people who subscribe to Elizabeth's mailing list, but the general public can take advantage of it too. (Elizabeth sells tickets to its dinners through an online system.) The restaurant of late has been offering special prices for the start of its seasons.
"Elizabeth has been open for three years and we see our same guests return for each season, sometimes multiple times within a season," reads the restaurant's website. "We want to experiment with quarterly/season tickets for you (you all know who you are) with the same awesome values."
Here are the details for 2016: Special prices are available for the winter menu in January, the spring menu in April, the summer menu in July and the fall menu in October. The special price for the first three dinners is $45 per person; the fall menu is $65 per person. (Wine, beer and nonalcoholic beverage pairings are available for an additional price.)
Dinners at Elizabeth usually run $65 to $85 per person during the week for a six- to eight-course menu. Weekend dinners are usually priced between $115 and $165 for 12 to 16 courses, Regan wrote in an email.
What are the menu themes? Winter: Vikings Dinner Series, Land vs. Sea; Spring: Fantasy Dinner Series, "The Lord of the Rings" vs. "Chronicles of Narnia" Summer: 100% Local, Unordered and Overgrown From Our Farmers and Gardens; Fall: "Downton Abbey" Dinner Series, Servants vs. Aristocrats.
Elizabeth is at 4835 N. Western Ave., 773-681-0651.
