Elizabeth Hurley baffles fans with 'romance' with Billy Ray Cyrus as her son weighs in

Elizabeth Hurley has left fans speechless by appearing to announce her unlikely new romance with Billy Ray Cyrus.

The Austin Powers actress, 59, and country crooner, 63, shared a photo of them cuddling on both of their Instagram accounts on Easter Sunday.

Hurley wore a blue checked shirt, blue jeans, and a straw hat and smiled as Achy Breaky Heart singer Cyrus - who was wearing a pair of green bunny ears - leaned in to kiss her cheek.

The duo, who leaned against a wooden fence in a field in the snap, captioned the post, “Happy Easter,” with a love heart emoji.

Hurley’s son, model and actor Damian Hurley, 23, was quick to share his approval for the pairing, commenting with a celebration emoji and a love heart emoji.

Fans shared their bewilderment at the unexpected coupling in the comments, with one writing, “Girl, what?” and another adding: “Oh! Who else totally did not have this one on their 2025 bingo card?”

A third posted, “Hey girl, TAKE THAT HAPPINESS!” and someone else enthused: “So happy, so beautiful.”

It’s unclear when the couple started dating, although they starred as love interests in the 2022 comedy, Christmas In Paradise alongside Kelsey Grammer.

The Bedazzled actress hinted at their apparent relationship earlier this month.

She shared a video of herself dancing in a bikini on the beach in the Maldives that was set to Cyrus’ hit, She’s Not Cryin’ Anymore.

“The most glorious sunset in the glorious Maldives [love heart emoji],” Hurley captioned it.

The Standard has contacted their representatives for comment.

Hurley previously dated actor Hugh Grant for 13 years. They met in 1987 while working on Remando Al Viento and split in 2000 but have remained close friends.

She then had a brief relationship with late businessman Steve Bing and welcomed their son, Damian, in 2002. Bing died by suicide in 2020.

The Royals star was married to businessman Arun Nayar from 2007 to 2011 and dated Australian cricketer Shane Warne until 2013.

Cyrusy, meanwhile finalized his divorce from Australian singer Firerose in August, just months after their dramatic break-up.

They married in October 2023 and separated seven months later.

He was previously married to Cindy Smith from 1986 to 1991, and Tish Cyrus from 1993 to 2022, with whom he shares five kids - including pop star Miley Cyrus, 32.
