Elisha Sam's first words after signing for Notts County

Elisha Sam says he cannot wait to play in Notts County's "beautiful stadium" after completing his move to Meadow Lane.

The 6ft 5in centre forward is a free transfer arrival from Bulgarian top-flight side Arda Kardzhali who finished sixth in the A league last season.

Sam is the second European arrival to join the club this summer, following Ruben Rodrigues who joined from Dutch second division side Den Bosch.

And he is looking forward to beginning the next chapter of his career with the forward due to link-up with his Magpies team-mates for the first time later this week.

“It feels good to be here, it’s a massive club and I am looking forward to meeting everybody in training,” he said.

“I cannot wait to be playing in this beautiful stadium.

“It’s really big, they have a nice pitch so I am looking forward to helping the team.

“I am very fast, a strong guy and have a good shot.

“I have quite good technique for a big guy so that is what you can expect from me.

“I just want to help the team get promoted.”
