Eli Manning nominated for New Jersey Hall of Fame

Retired New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning is one of 50 nominees up for induction into the New Jersey Hall of Famer as part of the 2019-2020 class.

Manning is one of 10 sports figures that include baseball superstar Mike Trout, former heavyweight boxing contender Gerry Cooney, basketball great Rick Barry, former Rutgers athletic director Robert Mulcahy, former US soccer goalie Tim Howard, baseball Hall of Famers Monte Irvin and Craig Biggio, Rutgers women’s basketball coach C. Vivian Stringer and former Rutgers and New York Liberty star Sue Wicks.

Also on the ballot in other categories are notables such as authors Stephen Crane and Gay Talese, economist Milton Friedman, poet Joyce Kilmer, singers Paul Anka and Cissy Houston, actors John Amos and Danny Aiello, comedians Ernie Kovacs, Buddy Hackett and Flip Wilson, jazz guitarist George Benson, former Federal Reserve chairman Paul Volcker, Farliegh Dickinson and concert promoter John Scher.

Voting is currently open and can be conducted at the New Jersey Hall of Fame website.
