Having an elf who is on the lookout in your home can be fun for all the family at Christmas.
It's great for promoting good behaviour in the run up to Santa Claus coming.
The elves can report back to the North Pole and tell Santa which kids have been naughty or nice - even though they can be very mischievous themselves!
Each morning when children wake up, they can look around the house and see what their elf has got up to during the night.
But with much of the country on lockdown why not incorporate that theme into the 2020 elf on the shelf.

All you need to do is roll up your elf in a wrap and make a hole for its face.

If you are running out of ideas in the house and don't have time to make elaborate scenes with them, why not put your elf in the car over your mirror!
Camping
Let your elf go camping! All you need to do is use two objects, such as IPads and make a tent shape. Then wrap your elf up in a blanket and place it inside.

Make a lovely festive breakfast for the kids all the way from the North Pole... with the help of your Elf of the Shelf.

Toilet roll mess!
Another simple idea is to wrap up objects in your home with toilet roll, whether it be your pet, kitchen, Christmas tree or anything else you can find - if your elf is feeling particularly naughty.
