It's coming up to Christmas, and this year has been like no other.
While this is usually Santa's busiest time when he makes all his appearances, the coronavirus pandemic has put a stop to the big man's appearances in grottos all throughout the city.
But fear not, because he has dispatched one of his little helpers - and this elf is a busy elf indeed.
The elf's close friend Lesley Laverty told Glasgow Live : "The kids aren't getting to see Santa but they're loving getting a visit from the elf.
"Glasgow went mental for the elf last year and it's the same this year."
This year's visits from the Elf on a Shelf are all Covid friendly, as Lesley says the elf is there for 10 minutes at a time, and his costume is disinfected between all visits. His costume is completely covered and sealed.
Even his helpers are masked up.
Natalie O'Neill had a special visit this year when the elf came to visit her children Ruby, 4, and Ronan, 9, to their gardens in Possil.
Natalie told Glasgow Live: "The kids loved it. We would usually take them to see Santa's grotto at this time of year but there's nothing like that going on.
"Ruby was a bit more nervous of the Elf but she came around, and Ronan even got a TikTok with the Elf. It was good doing it knowing that it was all safe and honestly it's just that bit of Christmas magic that makes everything feel better."
