Elf Girl and Raven Boy: Creepy Caves by Marcus Sedgwick - review

Elf Girl and Raven Boy: Creepy Caves is a thrilling and exciting book. It is about two people who are hunting for the Goblin King. Nothing can stop them. Well… nothing except a huge goblin army, rivers of hot molten lava and a huge vast maze of some seriously creepy caves.

There are six books in the Elf Girl and Raven Boy series and this was the last one. The other books are of a high standard and this one didn’t disappoint. The order is: Fright Forest, Monster Mountains, Scream Sea, Dread Desert, Terror Town and then Creepy Caves. Having read the other books, I understood the storyline but if you haven’t read the others then it explains everything perfectly.

The chapters were unique as each one started with a fact about one of the characters. It is helpful as it helps you understand the background or personality of whoever the fact is about. There were also great illustrations throughout the book that help to tell the story. I think this book is a great read and is enjoyable for all ages although in some scenes it can be a little bit scary. One of my favourite characters was Elf Girl because I love how she handles things with her magic bow. I would rate it a 5 star and I think it definitely can be reread start to finish over and over again!
