Community police in Lochee have targeted drug dealers in a major crime crackdown.
Since March officers have arrested 11 people and recovered drugs with a street value of £27,700.
They have also confiscated a total of £2,600 in cash.
A force spokesperson detailed the operation.
- Following the execution of a warrant on 16 March in St Ann Lane, a 32-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the production of controlled drugs.
- On 28 April in Adamson Court, Kirk Street, a man and woman, both aged 53, were arrested and charged in connection with the supply of controlled drugs.
- On 14 May in Craigmount Road, a man aged 28 was arrested and charged in connection with the supply of controlled drugs.
- On 24 May in Yeamans Lane, a 27-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the supply of controlled drugs.
- On 30 May in Adamson Court, Kirk Street, a man and woman, both aged 53, were arrested and charged in connection with the supply of controlled drugs.
- On 2 June 2022 in Kirk Street, two men, aged 39 and 46, and two women, aged 47 and 51, were arrested and charged in connection with the supply of controlled drugs.
Sergeant Sean Petrie, of Lochee Community Policing Team, said: “Drugs cause misery in our communities and officers are committed to identifying and arresting those responsible for profiting from the sale of illegal and harmful substances.
“We will also work with partners to tackle anti-social behaviour associated with this type of activity.
“The public has an important role and in these cases it was information provided that led to these people being arrested and charged.
“Anyone with information about drugs supply should contact us on 101, speak to any police officer or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
