A fire near Elephant and Castle station has disrupted train journeys, closing a major rail line.
Network Rail said no trains are travelling to or through the rail station in southeast London for the rest of the day after a blaze broke out on Monday afternoon.
A London Fire Brigade official said there was “a significant fire in a car garage in the railway arches” which involved several nearby cars outside and a telephone box.
The fire was brought under control nearly four hours after it started, they added.
Six people have been treated by the London Ambulance Servic, with one taken to hospital.
London Fire Brigade said the cause of the blaze was not yet known, however the Metropolitan Police said it was not believed to be terror-related.
Fifteen fire engines and about 100 firefighters are at the scene after the brigade received 44 calls to its 999 operators at 1.43pm on Monday.
